This past Monday was Victoria day. We spent the day hiking around Hick's Lake

Butter not so much

That evening we went to Grandma and Grandpa's for a BBQ

May 21-22

The last two days have been work work work.

But I did manage to get a little teeny bit of planting done.

these two are my patio flowers, I bought the cute flowers pots from ikea, $1.49 a piece

And today I made this peanut butter crispy bar. It's sooo good, but (and I can't believe I will say this)....it's a little to sweet.

Tonight there is forcasted frost so I had to bring all the containers into the garage

and tarp the rest off

while I was moving the containers I noticed the chard is starting to sprout

isn't it sooo cute!

while I was out doing that I took a few pictures of the emerging roses

(I didn't even notice the ants all over it until I saw the picture)

This hydrangea bush is leaning over with the weight of the water but it so stunningly huge (i'll hack it right back when it is done flowering)

and last but not least look what is growing in front of the garage!!!

May 20

On Thursday I went out for lunch to bozzini's with Steph.

I took these cute pictures with my dog. Butter would love to sit on my lap for the rest of his life.

We went for a walk that gorgeous sunny day as well.

Dogwoods are my favourite tree in spring, their flowers are so beautiful!

May 16-19

Steph requested double chocolate biscottis a couple weeks ago, so I finally made them, they're awesome! Best biscotti i've made, they are more like a cookie, delicious. They are from here.

this dog is very cute! (plus my ikea rug)

I did this planting on the 15th, I planted:

-1/4 row of carrots

-1/2 a row of beets

-1/3 of a row of spinach

-fingerling potatoes in a garbage pail

-swiss chard, 2 containers of it

-burpless cucumbers

-eggplant

-shallots

-1 row of broccoli

so this is my cute garden, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT IN JULY!!

I made these gluten/dairy free brownies that mom loved!

Tash and Shane liked them too (they were starting shane's first physics assignment)

We brought this yummy coconut bread to watch robin hood (great movie with russell crowe who I didn't know was so attractive) (it could be the beard)

Shane brought me home these flowers from Maya's last night, I arranged them into these. There is also a bouquet of peonies and roses with some cute little bell like flowers.

and finally I made this cake for steph's boss, she wanted, it's from the essence of chocolate book which has turned out really well before but looks like garbage this time, oh well
